All Connecticut Utilities implement electric and gas efficiency rebate programs funded by Connecticut’s public benefits charge through the Energy Efficiency Fund. Customers may also be interested in the Retro-Commissioning Program, which helps facilities significantly cut costs through optimizing equipment. Commissioning reports recommend certain energy efficient measures to be carried out by pre-approved energy efficiency professionals.

Groton Utilities offers a variety of innovative programs designed to help home and business customers reduce and proactively manage their energy costs. Groton Utilities’ current programs are easy to use and provide cash incentives that cover a portion of the total project cost.

Connecticut electricity customers that install energy efficiency equipment and reduce their energy use during peak hours may be eligible for a rebate based on the amount of kilowatt-hours (kWh) saved during peak hours. Any customer in Connecticut, whether building a new facility or retrofitting an existing facility, is eligible to apply.
The Energy Efficiency Fund, funded by Connecticut’s public benefits charge, provides home energy efficiency rebate programs to customers of The Connecticut Light and Power Company, The United Illuminating Company, Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Yankeegas customers.
