Summary:

The Targeted Energy Efficiency Program provides weatherization and energy efficiency services to qualifying residential customers who need help reducing their energy bills and improving their homes’ safety and comfort. Kentucky Power provides funding for this program through the Kentucky Community Action network of not-for-profit community action agencies. Program services include residential energy audits, the installation of home weatherization/energy conservation items and customer education on home energy efficiency.

Kentucky Utilities Company - Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary:

Kentucky Utilities Company (KU) offers rebates to all commercial customers who pay a DSM charge on monthly bills. Rebates are available on lighting measures, sensors, air conditioners, heat pumps, motors, pumps, variable frequency drives, chillers, chilled water resets, thermal storage systems, and a free energy audit. Customers must complete and sign an application form prior to project completion.

Kenergy - Commercial and Industrial Rebate Program

Summary:

Kenergy offers commercial and industrial customers rebates for energy-efficient lighting and other energy efficient improvements. Customers can receive rebates of $350 per kilowatt of energy-efficiency improvements. To qualify, a customer must notify and submit information about the facility, including desired energy-efficient improvements, for pre-approval by Kenergy. A rebate cannot exceed a project’s cost.

TVA - Energy Right Solutions for Business

Summary:

TVA offers the Energy Right Solutions Program to commercial and industrial facilities. In addition to prescriptive rebates for lighting, motors, HVAC, and kitchen equipment, administrators take a custom baseline of pre-installation demand and compare to post installation measurements to determine the financial incentive amount in kilowatt-hour values. The incentives program is offered along with complimentary energy assessments and reviews to determine potential areas for savings.

Mountain Association for Community Economic Development - Energy Efficient Enterprise Loan Program

Summary:

The Mountain Association for Community Economic Development (MACED) offers loans to small and mid-sized businesses, non-profits, schools and municipalities to improve energy efficiency through its Energy Efficient Enterprises program. Commercial loans can be used to purchase a wide-variety of equipment and to pay for energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy installations.

Mountain Association for Community Economic Development - HowSmartKY On-Bill Financing Energy Efficiency Program

Four rural utility cooperatives in Eastern Kentucky (Big Sandy RECC, Fleming-Mason RECC, Grayson RECC, and Jackson Energy) work with MACED to provide energy retrofits as part of utility service under the KY Energy Retrofit Rider. The program, How$martKY, addresses a barrier that households and small businesses face when making an up-front investment in energy efficiency improvements such as insulation, air-sealing and HVAC upgrades.
